Under 10-minute Delicious Spinach Garlic Stir-fry
Spinach garlic stir-fry is probably one of the quickest and easiest vegetable side dishes ever. Simple, yet, very delicious and it is versatile that this delicious spinach garlic can pretty much be paired perfectly with any entrée. Not to mention, spinach is a must-have vegetable in your diet as it is packed with vitamin A, C, has lots of fiber and so on.
The key in cooking spinach is not to overcook it. So, basically, you just need to heat up oil in the pan, add garlic, shallot and, then, toss the spinach in. Stir until it’s wilted, add salt and pepper, then transfer to the serving plate. Done! It’s that simple for this super healthy yet delicious spinach garlic stir-fry. Tip: When it is cooked, spinach will lose more than half of its volume, plus it cooks very fast. So, do not worry if when you first add the spinach in, it may look like it’s crowding your pan/skillet. The volume will reduce.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb baby spinach
- 4 cloves garlic – minced
- 1 medium-sized shallot – sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Rinse the baby spinach well under cold water and drain well.
- Preheat the olive oil in a skillet under medium-to-high heat.
- Once heated, add garlic and shallot and cook it for about 1-2 minutes or until it is fragrant. Be careful not to burn them.
- Add the baby spinach, salt and pepper. Cook about 3-4 minutes or until it is wilted.
- Remove from pan and place it on a serving plate. Enjoy while it is hot!
