Stir-Fry Long Bean with Basil and Pork Belly
Simple and easy stir-fry long bean that will not disappoint as it is packed with an amazing flavor combination. It is great when served with fluffy steamed rice (even better with a sunny side egg on the side). Made with pork belly, infused with basil and flavored with savory sauce, this stir-fry long bean is also crunchy and will make it to your regular weekday meals. Even my picky eaters are looking forward for this meal whenever I make it.
This stir-fry long bean is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients. Long bean is a great source of protein and contains Vitamin A and C. Also, this stir fry long bean recipe only takes about 10 – 15 minutes, from preparation to the final product. So, it is a handy recipe to have, especially during your busy week. You can also make a big batch and do a meal prep because it can last up to 3 days when you store it in an air-tight container.
Tool I used:
- Nonstick Skillet – Easy to clean, heat-up evenly, and, the best part, it is non-stick. Great tool to have for stir-frying, making omelet, and much more.
Tip: Long bean is usually available in Asian grocery store. If you cannot find it in your local store, you can replace it with green bean. However, if you use green bean, it takes shorter time to cook, so you can cut 2-3 minutes from the cooking time. Also, you can use any kind of protein, such as chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu.
